Womentor — a graphic design mentorship programme

Womentor is a global mentorship programme for women in graphic design with at least five years experience, offering support and guidance in business and career development. The programme brings together senior designers with creative directors and design company partners and founders from around the world.

This year, 22 creative leaders from five continents have been selected to provide mentorship, including three from Aotearoa New Zealand.

Designers Speak (Up) is thrilled to see creative directors Shabnam Shiwan (Osborne Shiwan), Nadia Aftimos (Designworks) and Catherine Griffiths (Studio Catherine Griffiths) represented in the Womentor programme. International creative leaders include Astrid Stavro (Pentagram), Jo Roca (For The People) and Yah-Leng Yu (Foreign Policy Design Group).

For the opportunity to be mentored by any one of the womentors, including Nadia, Shabnam or Catherine, go to womentor.com.au/apply

Applications close 5pm (Australian EST) Monday 8 April, 2019!

Nadia — “In the digital world all graphic design principles still apply. Be guided by them but always push at the boundaries. Be driven by problem solving, not by style.”

Shabnam — “Keep up the good work.”

Catherine — “Find your own voice, trust your intuition.”

Womentor is an independent initiative founded and run by Mirella Marie, founder and Creative Director of Australian design studio Vertigo.
